On 17 June 2008, Aalaa Translation Co. provided interpretation services for the Workshop on the Psychological Impacts of War on Palestinian Children in Nahr El-Bared Camp. The workshop included a presentation of a post-war study conducted by Naba'a Organization for Development Action Without Borders. Various ideas and useful insights were given by an elite group of psycho-social support experts and representatives of NGOs, educational institutions, UNICEF and UNRWA. Topics revolved around the adverse effects of Nahr El-Bared conflict on the psychology and mental health of Palestinian children refugees living in the camp, who are suffering from acute psychological disorders such as enuresis, depression, anxiety, sadness, memory loss, and several types of phobias, among others. |
